Sexy challenge

All part of bringing SEXY back is getting me to actually workout. I need a little push and thought I would put this out there and see if anyone takes me up on it. Are you up for the challenge? I need motivation to get back into shape and I was thinking of placing a bet with whomever wants in. You in? It will be for a set period of time, like a month, and it's just based on how many total hours spent working out during that time period. Since each person is different and goals vary, basing it off of inches lost/gained, weight lost or body fat lost would not be fair. So what do you think? We would have to figure out a prize and obviously food/meal would not be a good one. Maybe a $100 gift certificate to wherever the other person wants...or something else. I am open. Any takers?

*gasp* *pant* I just got back from 2 hours at the gym. I slaughtered the boyfriend and his buddy on the Swiss balance ball! Man, the amount of whining going on (none of it from me) would've made anyone drunk.

That makes it 2 workouts today for me; a 40-minute 3-mile run at lunch with hills, and some light weights and cardio this evening.

There's no way I can keep it up with you two :).

Since my goal is to gain weight I keep my workouts short, but with heavy lifting. I think I would lose pretty quickly haha.

Cindy you have an amazing ability for endurance and cardio. I couldn't do half as much as you do when it comes to endurance training!

Cindy - Anytime you want to slaughter someone at the gym, I am game. You give the best workouts!!!

James - You could so do it. The way I see it we would benefit us both, you would start eating tons of calories & protein stuff, and lift weights like crazy and it benefits me too because I would win and have $100 gift certificate. :)

Mr. W's son, 17 yr old 5'9", 11% body fat skinny boy, is now on a gym kick (after I got Mr. W the gym membership, we got his son to come with us a few times, then when son continued to be interested, Mr. W got him a membership as well and it came with some personal training sessions.) and he's eating right, working out, and in the past 2 weeks gained 6 lbs. of muscle. Nice, huh? His goal was to bulk up with lean mass and everyone's supportive of him. His mom has even taken the fast food and sodas out of her house and as added Special K Protein cereal, lean beef and chicken, protein bars, Gatoraide, etc. Son's now eating healthy organic foods with us instead of Taco Bell and McDonald's on the weekdays. And he's learned to make his own protein shakes and eggs.

Oh, his daughter has quit fast foods and sodas, too, but that's more for her personal nutrition than a body change goal.

I'm so happy that the kids are open to improving their health. It's an investment into their future! They're so good about asking me about various foods and nutrition and sticking to what they learn. The schools are apparently not teaching them anything practical in this area.

My long-winded point is to Kat's readers...if these teenagers can do it, you can, too!

James - endurance and stamina pays off in other ways. ;)

Cindy - That is so awesome that they are opening up to stuff that is good for them and has everyone's support. Maybe Mr. W should sponsor them to do the sexy challenge!

And I second your second comment!

:D hahaha, kat that's true isn't it? Yea I notice the more I work out the more I eat. But you would definately be guaranteed of winning the certificate :).

And Cindy -- Quite True :D Although for some reason when it comes to those things getting extra energy seems easy to come by. I guess proper motivation does wonders!

See James, it's a win-win situation. You'll gain weight & I'll get in shape. You should SO do it! :) Read Cindy's comment - we CAN do it!

No takers, yet?! *sad face*

Hey I'll sign up just to be your moral support :) Although I think I might as well just bring you your gift certificate now! lol

James, that's not the same if I already know I am gonna win!

Well, I *know* that Flat Coke and Bat have gym memberships to their local gym and that they do go!

*kitty ears perking up*

Cindy... you think they would do the sexy challenge??? I need them to read this.

You know what. I just realized that while im in japan for 3 weeks i'll be out of shape when I get back.

Maybe it might be good for me to take your challenge for that first month :) we'll see!

Sweet... let me know when you get back if you want to do it! :) I am always game for a challenge

Here's a challenge...stand on one toe, jump up and down on that toe, simultaneously drink water from the far side of a cup, and pat the top of your head with your free hand.

We want video.

That's MY sexy challenge to you.

I think you should just go ahead and give Cindy $100. There's no way my 20 min workouts 3 x a week will even come close to her!!! What if we counted drops of sweat instead. lol

Does sex count as a workout?

I'm not joining the challenge cuz I'm not going to change my workout routine. It's too regular right now and there's really no room for flexibility, so I'd be too predictable. (Gym every weekday at lunch for 40-45 mins, one weekend day for up to 3 hrs, 1 day off. Sometimes a double-workout by going back to the gym one weekday evening in addition to lunch.)

Good question Flat Coke... I didn't even thing about that. If I do a 2-3 hours gym workout and the come home to another 2-3 sex workouts I could so win. Oh wait... roomie just went on some retarded celibate thing for 90 days :( I leave it up to you.

Mmmm, sex workouts are my favorite type of workouts. Especially since they tend to last a couple of hours, you can sure burn off a lot of calories that way.

Cindy, how the hell can you gain 6 lbs of muscle in 2 weeks? That would take me about 6 months to do that!
