My Pussy Up Chucked

I was leaving for work yesterday and noticed little piles of eaten kitty food all over the carpet. There were about 4 piles! I quickly cleaned it up and headed off to work. I kept wondering which kitty had thrown up. I thought whoever it was must have been trying to hack up a hair ball and I would come home to that surprise later. Oh the joys of having kitties!

I came home and no messes, or at least I thought. I took off my pants and was chill’n on the phone and sat down on my meditation pillows when all of a sudden I felt something wet on my tooshie. I stood up and wiped something moist off my butt and then looked down to inspected what I just sat in… Eeww… a pile of kitty throw up! *gagging*

I clean myself up and headed off to class and when I came home there were more piles of kitty throw up on roommie’s bed, the living room floor, hallway and my room’s floor. I started to get really concerned. I still had not seen which kitty had done it and both were running around and playing with each other, so I thought it was still a stubborn hair ball.

Later that night (or possible early morning) I was awakened by a terrible sound. I got up and saw my poor Maxwell (Maxwell-Weasel as I like to call him) trying to hack something up. He kept heaving and finally after a minute he threw up foamy stuff. By this time, be was no longer his playful self, he just hung out in a corner. He woke me up a second time making the same noises and this time nothing would come up.

When breakfast time came around he wasn’t interested at all in any food…this is so not like him.

I called the vet and got a 9:40am appointment and since they are by my work I brought Maxwell into work. The girls at work gave him some love and then off I went to the vet.

The vet was super cool! Maxwell weights a whopping 10 lbs at only 1 year old! And to think women push out babies at that weight, OUCH! Any who, the doc felt his tummy and Maxwell was reacting to a certain spot. Doc took an x-ray and saw something, but couldn’t tell if it was an obstruction of some sort. I left Maxwell at the vet and they gave him Barium to see if he truly does have an obstruction.

Got a call and no obstruction…YAY! They are sending him home with some meds and he should be ok! I can't wait to go pick him up and take him home. Angelina is probably worried about her bro and will welcome him back with all paws!

Ewww pussy puke!!! You know I've thought about taking xrays in a vets office before, I had no idea they used barium for pets just like we do for humans.

Hugs to the pussy.....cat!!

Eeww, indeed!!!

Flat Coke - If you start working for a vet, then you could come and take xrays of my kitties when they are sick! :) I didn't know about barium until yesterday and doc. says I get to look forward to white poopies.
