My alliance is turning on me...

I was emailing my co-worker whom I am in alliance with and was saying how shocked I was that I passed out on the living room chair last night. I mentioned to her that i thought I was anemic and she wrote back

"Oh, sounds like you need some extra iron. You have been terribly overdoing it with all the exercise so wouldn't doubt that you'd be anemic. Maybe you should take it down a notch."

WTH??? First of all, me feeling tired and anemic could be that I have been spotting and having my period off and on for almost TWO weeks. Second of all, hello exercise helps with anemia. I know she said she was extremely competitive and last challenges chapped her hide as she worked out and didn't lose any weight. Also, this week I actually have listened to my body and rested up. I didn't work out Thurs-Saturday, Sunday I did have a killer workout with a trail run for an hr and boot camp with my sister, Monday I did some laps in the pool and yesterday I rested again, so I don't think I am "terribly over doing it" but I do think her competitive side is now showing.

Forget her catty suggestions. Here's what you do...

Have a raw spinach salad. You can do an olive oil & basalmic vinegar dressing, just make sure you don't use more than 1 teasp of oil. Have breakfast, and pop a multivitamin after eating. You can also pop an iron supplement, if you tend to get anemic a lot when you're bleeding.

Get up SLOWLY. =)

I think she is getting a little catty just because she doesn't really talk to me much ever since the last weigh in. We used to talk every day about the work outs we did, how were are feeling, what we ate and look up advise and different workouts. Now it's just conversion about anything but the competition and working out.

Hey, I am having a spinach salad right now as I type with Rasberry Vinegarette dressing :) I also put Blackstrap molasses in my oatmeal and it has 20% iron and last night I had sushi and chicken for dinner, so I should be getting my read blood count up slowly but surely.

Funny you say for me to get up slowly because the last 2 days I have been getting dizzy when ever I stand up. Porr Jay just looks at me half worried.

I get anemic around that time, so I know how you feel. :) I don't think Tim's concerned about me at all when I have a hard time. When I have bad cramps I beg him to trade body parts with me and I always get an unsympathetic "no."

I'm feeling more alert today, so I think all the TLC I've been giving my body is working.

I'm sure Jay's response would be the same if i asked to switch.
