Lost, but now THEY are found

This morning when I got up and out of my room I noticed something was missing. I'm used to two fur balls welcoming, but both were no where in sight. I checked in my TV stand as Angelina loves hiding in there as if it was her own personal cave heated by electronic. Nope, no kitty there. I checked the second room, closet and called their names and began to panic when I I didn't hear a meow or see them. After all, my place is not that big and my kitties always come when I call for them. Last night was a very windy night and I remember Jay bringing in the screen to a window and saying it fell. I was already asleep and didn't think anything of it, but now that my kitties were gone I knew the lil suckers had escaped and probably thought they could reenter via the window. To their surprise they would find it locked. Now it was morning and seeing how I was half naked, I grabbed a robe and went outside calling their names and called Jay frantically. All of a sudden, Angelina appeared from under the water heater closet and slowly made her way into the house. She gave me a look like she didn't know if she should be mad at me for not hearing their meowing in the night to let them in or if I should be mad at her for escaping. One kitty found and another one to go. I kept calling Maxwell and no sign from him. I looked where Angelina has came from and I see little eyes looking at me. He moved even slower then she did and only made it half way out and gave me a look. Darn spoiled house cats! I picked him up and carried him back into the nice, WARM comforts of home. I looked around and said you two have it made, two littler boxes, two tent houses and two beds and did I forget to mention food (dry & wet), fresh water, toys and cat nip. They had NO idea of the outside world! They are so domesticated that the first thing Angelina did when she got in was use the litterbox. Poor thing was holding it all night and since there was no litter box outside she didn't know where to go.

Awww, I love posts about our cats! I'm glad they didn't wander out too far and knew where they had it good! I hope they learned their lesson! This post is kinda sad in an endearing kind of way. I mean, I want to feel bad for what kind of nite the kitties must've endure, but it IS kinda cute/funny now that I know they're safe!

Cindy - Yup love those kitties, eve when they get into trouble. It's funny they don't go by the front door anymore and took them a day or two to want to look outside the windows. I guess they learned that sometimes the grass ins't greener on the other side.

Flat coke - Yup, I have some city cat's for sure! Maxwell won't make it out there in the real world, but I think Angelina would.
